Ice Miller Lawyer Arrested in Alleged Scuffle Is Accused of Telling Cops to 'Google Me'
A lawyer at Ice Miller arrested last week for allegedly fighting with police at a Louisville bar tried to persuade them she was a professional with some high-tech advice, according to authorities.
Courtney King was arrested on Dec. 29 after being asked to leave the bar, the Louisville Courier-Journal reports. The article cites a police citation that claims King told police and security guards: “You are going to—die. I am a lawyer. You can Google me.”
King was charged with disorderly conduct, assaulting a police officer, alcohol intoxication and terroristic threatening, the story says. She is accused of trying to kick out the window of a squad car.
King is no longer listed on Ice Miller’s website. Her lawyer, Alex Dathorne, says she has not been fired but she may be on probation. He tells the Courier-Journal she has pleaded not guilty and looks forward to resolving the matter.
King is an honors graduate of the University of Louisville law school who served on law review. She joined the Indianapolis law firm last April.
