An alienation of affection lawsuit is a relic of legal history in most states. But not in Illinois, where a well-known automobile dealer has sued a plastic surgeon for allegedly "solicit[ing] and initiat[ing] a romantic and sexual relationship" with his wife, Ronda.

Bob Rohrman, who is president and owner of the Rohrman Auto Group, is seeking tort damages in the DuPage County litigation. His wife, who filed for divorce in April, met the defendant, Dr. Sami Bittar, when an unidentified family member sought his services as a physician in early 2008, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Staff at the doctor's Chicago office said he is unavailable for comment, the newspaper reports.

The Rohrmans married on Dec. 28, 2002 in what the lawsuit describes as a lavish wedding ceremony in Kauai, Hawaii. It alleges that Bittar began wining and dining Ronda Rohman in April of 2008.

Rohrman is represented by attorney Enrico Mirabelli.

I think the spouse that got cheated on should be able to sue.

Why can’t they sue the spouse for breach of contract or the slimebag they are having the affair with for tortious interference with contract.

people that have affairs should also be disbarred from the legal profession for lack of character, dishonesty, breach of trust, etc.

How is cheating on a spouse an indication of your character to practice law?  You would have to suspend at least 50% of the legal profession.

#2, 50% would be a good start.  Or maybe start by disbarring lawyers who have sex with their clients.

50% of attorneys cheat on their spouses?!  Well, that helps me with my date tonight. Will attorneys be honest about cheating if asked?
