Illinois Judge Orders Homeless Man to Get a Job
An Illinois judge has ordered a homeless man in Chicago’s suburbs to get a job as part of his probation for following and yelling at a psychologist.
DuPage County Judge Karen Wilson ordered Scott Huber of Naperville, Ill., to find a job and work at least 10 hours a week, report the Chicago Sun-Times and the Chicago Tribune. Wilson also ordered Huber to get job placement training as part of his probation sentence for disorderly conduct and trespassing.
Huber didn’t like the requirements, the Sun-Times says. “I object,” he told the judge.
Huber was sentenced for a February 2010 confrontation with a psychologist who asked him to move his belongings from in front of her office, the Tribune says. Huber was accused of following the psychologist to her office and then pounding on her locked door while he yelled at her.
Earlier this year, a judge granted an injunction banning Huber from camping in downtown Naperville.
