In 'Landslide Vote,' Ohio Voters Repeal Law Limiting Bargaining Rights of Public Sector Unions
Ohio voters on Tuesday repealed a law that limited collective bargaining rights for public sector unions.
The New York Times says the law was overturned in “a landslide vote.” Sixty-one percent of the voters backed the repeal, with 99 percent of precincts reporting, Bloomberg News says.
The overturned law had banned strikes and allowed local governments to impose contracts, Bloomberg News says. It also restricted bargaining to wages, hours and working conditions.
