A company called IronPro is touting its new crisis management insurance and the two lawyers who will provide services to policy holders needing help.

The lawyers are President Clinton’s former special counsel Lanny Davis and Gordon Rees managing partner Mercedes Colwin, according to a press release. The Washington Post has the story about the new CrisisShield policy.

IronPro’s alignment with the lawyers “offers insureds a valuable resource to anticipate and manage crisis events with proven strategic guidance and the extra security of attorney-client privilege,” the press release says.

Davis is the author of Crisis Tales, which tells how he helped famous clients such as Martha Stewart manage scandals. In a Q and A with the New York Times, Davis said he didn’t check with the former clients before publication. “I sanitized with a Simon & Schuster lawyer anything that even came close to attorney-client privilege,” he said. “I knew that once I ask them, I have to accept edits, and once I accept edits, it’s not my work any longer.”
