Irritated Judge Chides Apple Lawyer for Witness List, Makes 'Smoking Crack' Comment
Ongoing tensions in a case between Apple and Samsung boiled over again Thursday in San Jose, Calif., when U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh chided a lawyer for Apple for trying to book too many witnesses.

U.S. District Judge Lucy Koh told Apple’s lawyer Bill Lee: “I am not going to be running around trying to get 75 pages of briefings for people who are not going to be testifying. I mean come on. 75 pages! 75 pages! You want me to do an order on 75 pages, (and) unless you’re smoking crack, you know these witnesses aren’t going to be called when you have less than four hours.”
Lee to Koh: “Your honor, I can assure you, I’m not smoking crack.”
The issue came to a head as both sides in the case hustle to fit their case into a 25-hour time limit and Koh is threatening to cut time if legal teams keep filing paperwork, CNET notes.
This is just the latest testy exchange in the case.
