Is Dentons megamerger with McKenna Long still moving forward?

A partner vote had been expected by Nov. 14 to give a final OK to discussions between the Dentons megafirm and 575-attorney McKenna Long & Aldridge about a potential merger.

But to date, no vote has occurred, leading some observers to speculate that the plan to meld the two law firms into one may have hit a roadblock, according to the Daily Report (sub. req.) and Legal Week.

“The process for consideration by the partnerships of Dentons and McKenna Long & Aldridge of a potential combination is ongoing and the period of partner review not completed. It would be premature to share further information until all partnership entities of both firms have concluded their respective processes,” Dentons said in a written statement.
