Judge grants injunction barring 16 members of warring gangs from Houston neighborhood
Suing under a public nuisance law, prosecutors have persuaded a Texas judge to ban 16 members of warring gangs from a Houston neighborhood.
None of the 16 showed up in court to protest the judge’s ruling in the Harris County case, ABC News reports. If they are found in the approximately one-mile-square area, they can be fined and jailed.

“This is to create a safety zone so that people in the neighborhood can feel more comfortable, and also give officers probable cause for stopping these gang members,” said Harris County Attorney Vince Ryan.
