A municipal court judge in Rochester, New York, was ticketed for misdemeanor driving while intoxicated in Monroe County on Saturday as she was en route to work.

State police said Rochester City Court Judge Leticia Astacio, 34, refused a Breathalyzer test, according to the Democrat and Chronicle and WHAM.

Troopers investigated after spotting Astacio’s vehicle, which was damaged, on Interstate 490. It isn’t clear from news articles whether it was in motion at the time, but WHAM reports that a one-car accident occurred.

Another judge handled Astacio’s arraignment call Saturday after the incident.

Astacio, a former Monroe County prosecutor, worked for the drunken driving unit during part of her time there. She established her own criminal defense practice in 2011, the newspaper reports.
