Unhappy over a recent verdict in an Ohio municipal court case, a judge chastised jurors after it was announced, some members of the panel said.

Several complained to Franklin County Administrative Judge James Green, who said they told him that Judge Amy Salerno came off the bench and complained she thought they got the verdict wrong, WSYX reports.

Additionally, “they reported to me she made a comment to them, it was OK because she would have another chance to get this defendant because he had other charges pending,” Green told the station, which is an ABC News affiliate. He said he will ask Salerno to recuse herself in any further matters concerning the same defendant.

In a written statement she provided to the station Monday, Salerno said: “I was deeply surprised by the jury’s verdict in this case, and failed to contain my surprise. I am deeply sorry if my words in any way have offended. I can appreciate how they may have been taken in some other way.”

The article doesn’t indicate the nature of the case in which the verdict was rendered.
