Some 150 supporters of a light sentence for former White House top aide I. Lewis “Scooter” Libby should soon be identified, including a number of current and former government officials.

That’s because U.S. Dist. Judge Reggie B. Walton said today he will make public all of the letters he received concerning Libby’s sentence, many of them seeking leniency for the former chief of staff to Vice President Dick Cheney, reports AP. Libby is scheduled to be sentenced next week for his role in obstructing the investigation of how Valerie Plame’s identity as an agent of the Central Intelligence Agency was leaked.

Special Prosecutor Patrick Fitzgerald asked the judge to impose a sentence of up to three years, while Libby is expected to ask for no prison time, according to CBS News. The letters will be released, without addresses and other personal information, after Libby is sentenced June 5.
