Judge Who Deflated Worker’s Tire Would Accept Public Reprimand
A Maryland judge who admitted he deflated the tire of a courthouse cleaning worker says he would accept a public reprimand from Maryland’s judicial ethics body.
Judge Robert Nalley of Charles County pleaded guilty in October to tampering with a motor vehicle, a misdemeanor. He told the court he was “profoundly sorry” for deflating the tire of the worker who had parked in a restricted area near the courthouse.
Papers filed with the Maryland Commission on Judicial Disabilities say a private reprimand is appropriate, but Nalley would also accept a public reprimand, the Maryland Daily Record reports.
Nalley’s lawyer, William Brennan of Brennan Sullivan & McKenna, wrote that his client is “extremely remorseful.”
