Judge's home is raided; lawyer maintains his innocence of any charges that may be brought
Agents with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives raided the home of a judge in Georgetown, Texas, on Friday, though it’s unclear what was seized.
The federal search warrant authorizing the search of Court-At-Law Judge Tim Wright remains under seal, report KXAN, the Austin American-Statesman and KVUE.
Wright presides over a Williamson County court that handles misdemeanor drug and alcohol cases, and he was back on the bench on Monday. Wright’s lawyer, Jeff Senter, told KXAN that Wright is a man of integrity who is “completely capable of doing the job.”
Senter also said that Wright is innocent of any charges that would be brought against him.
