A four-lawyer team has been lured from the Washington, D.C., office of Hunton & Williams to form a new white-collar litigation practice at Katten Muchin Rosenman.
Partners Steven Solow and Whitney Ellerman now co-chair the new practice group, and Solow is also at the helm of Katten's environmental litigation practice, reports the Blog of Legal Times.
Both are former federal prosecutors, and Solow served as chief of the Environmental Crimes Section of the U.S. Department of Justice. They said they were happy at Hunton & Williams but couldn't resist the opportunity offered by Katten to establish a white-collar practice there, the law blog recounts.
The two other members of the group are partner Karl Heisler and associate Kristine Rembach.
The managing partner of Hunton's Washington, D.C., office wasn't immediately available to comment, the BLT says.
