Louisville-based Wyatt, Tarrant & Combs announced this week that it’s merging with a 45-year-old firm in Memphis.

Wyatt’s merger with Williams McDaniel means a significant expansion of Wyatt’s estate-planning practice, according to the firm and Business First.

“Our strategic plan calls for growth, and when we looked around in the Memphis market, we felt the Williams McDaniel firm was the best estate-planning firm in west Tennessee,” Wyatt’s managing partner, Bill Hollander, is quoted saying.

Wyatt is beefing up its estate-planning practice to meet increasing demand.

In a statement, Stephen McDaniel said joining Wyatt’s Memphis office will give lawyers from Williams McDaniel the opportunity to offer client services in 30 other areas.

“We have a large number of high net worth clients who own and operate closely held businesses, where their business affairs are often intertwined with their personal financial planning,” McDaniel said.
