Kilpatrick Lawyers Go and Come
Less than three months ago, Kilpatrick Stockton lost 18 attorneys to a Chicago-based firm opening a Charlotte, N.C., office. Now Kilpatrick has announced (PDF) it is beefing up its Charlotte office, which currently has only 11 lawyers.
The law firm has hired two new lawyers and transferred another five lawyers to Charlotte, according to the Fulton County Daily Report. Three first-year associates will also join the office in September.
An ABAJournal.com post noted in May that Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal was set to open an office in Charlotte, N.C., with 18 attorneys who once worked at Kilpatrick Stockton.
The firm had 55 attorneys in Charlotte in 2001 and was looking for new office space to support an expansion, the Charlotte Business Journal reported at the time.
