Kilpatrick Stockton has closed its London office after several partner defections there.

The law firm told the Am Law Daily that it closed the office March 30. A statement by co-managing partner Bill Dorris said the firm will instead affiliate with full-service U.K. law firms. The move will “better serve the interests of Kilpatrick Stockton and those of our clients,” he said.

The story says the London office “slowly unraveled” after Kilpatrick Stockton acquired the London office of Altheimer & Gray in 2003. A “steady stream of partner departures” followed, culminating in the decision by former office head Ken Boehner to join the London firm Bristows.
