Although there's no proof that a missing Georgia lawyer and her husband are dead, authorities from five law enforcement agencies are searching a landfill for their bodies with the help of cadaver dogs.

The searchers took a break Sunday, but were expected to be back at work today at the 2,500-acre landfill near Jesup, Ga., reports the Island Packet. An earlier article in the Island Packet discusses the couple and their life together.

Last seen two weeks ago, 45-year-old Elizabeth Calvert, a Savannah attorney, and her husband John, 47, reportedly were in a dispute with a business associate who apparently committed suicide last week after being named a person of interest in the case. Dennis Ray Gerwing, 54, reportedly admitted in two notes that he had stolen from the couple.
