A new reality television show about the work of the Las Vegas coroner could soon be followed by one about its district attorney.

Apparently inspired by Postmortem in Vegas, DA Steve Wolfson will be seeking permission from Clark County commissioners next month to create a similar show about cold and closed cases in his office, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The show, which has not yet been named, would be produced by MY Entertainment and would “tell the world what a safe city this is, and how we play such an important role with our justice partners in ensuring that,” Wolfson explains.

Wolfson says his office would approve the content, and that the show could help solve closed cases, such as the 1996 slaying of rap legend Tupac Shakur. Ongoing prosecutions would be off-limits until they are resolved.

According to the Review-Journal, prosecutors and defense attorneys might be asked to re-enact courtroom scenes for cases which have already been through the system. “Trial lawyers don’t need to take acting lessons,” Wolfson told the newspaper. “They were born to act.”

The county commission is expected to consider a proposed contract with MY Entertainment at its Nov. 5 meeting. Other productions by the company include Ghost Adventures, Paranormal Paparazzi, King of Vegas and Pros vs. Joes.
