A law grad who was about to begin work as an associate at Allen & Overy was among the 19 people killed on Friday in a plane crash in Nepal.

Ben Ogden, 27, was on a three-week hiking vacation when he died, the Am Law Daily reports, citing a story in the Telegraph. Ogden had studied law and German at Oxford.

Allen & Overy released a statement expressing its sympathies. “As well as being an excellent lawyer, Ben was a very popular member of the firm,” the statement said. “Ben had recently qualified and it was clear to everyone that he had an incredibly promising career ahead of him. Ben will be deeply missed by all who knew him.”
