Law school introduces government procurement MSL program for JDs and non-JDs
A graduate program focusing on government contracting and purchasing will be offered by the University of Dayton School of Law starting this fall.
The program is open to lawyers and nonlawyers, according to a press release. After completion of the nine-course program, either online or on campus, students will earn a masters of studies in law.
The cost of the program is $34,470 for 30 credit hours, according to a law school spokesperson, who expects many participants to be eligible for government or corporate tuition reimbursement.
“The Bureau of Labor Statistics expects up to 19,000 more sales or purchasing jobs nationwide between 2014 and 2024, with an average salary of up to $117,960,” Paul Schlottman, the law school’s director of strategic initiatives, stated in the press release.
George Washington University School of Law also offers an LLM in government procurement law, as well as a MS in government contracts.
