Lawyer, 87, Wants Heart-to-Heart Talk with the ‘Son of a Gun’ Who Attacked Him
An 87-year-old Texas lawyer is philosophical after an attack at his law office that sent him to the hospital.
Edward McFarland was treated for skinned elbows and an aggravated back injury after a robber knocked him down and stole his wallet Monday evening, KTRE.com reports. McFarland was leaving his law office when he was attacked.
The criminal defense lawyer told KTRE he hoped police had enough information to catch the suspect.
“I’m a cancer survivor and I’ve had a pacemaker for 20 years,” McFarland told the broadcast station. “I’ll survive this long enough to find that son of a gun, and I’ll have a heart-to-heart with him.”
