Canadian lawyer Grant Rayner isn’t a gambler, but he looks like someone who sings about being one.
A family law attorney in London, Ontario, Rayner has an uncanny resemblance to country crooner Kenny Rogers. So much that a talent agent approached him about it a few years ago, the London Free Press reports. Since then Rayner has moonlighted impersonating the man famous for songs such as “Ruby Don’t Take Your Love to Town,” “Lucille” and “Love Will Turn You Around.”
Raynor performs with taped music rather than a live band, and has become an expert on all things Kenny Rogers. The newspaper reports that Rayner enjoys significant popularity across the border, in Michigan.
Rayner says he isn’t sure if his resemblance to Rogers helps his legal practice. More than once a client has come in for the initial appointment and said, “You’re the Kenny, right?”
