Amidst a pending divorce case filed by his physician wife, a lawyer who is a partner in an accounting firm allegedly stabbed his spouse to death in their upscale home in the New York City suburbs.

Julius “Jules” Reich, 61, was charged with second-degree murder in the slaying of his wife, Dr. Robin Goldman, 58, who worked as a pediatrician, according to the Journal News and People magazine.

Police found Goldman’s body, as well as Reich, in the couple’s Scarsdale home, after he called 911 on Wednesday. He is being held without bail in the Westchester County case. It is reportedly the first murder in Scarsdale since 1977.

A certified public accountant as well as an attorney, he is a partner of the WeiserMazars accounting firm.
