Georgia’s Supreme Court disbarred (PDF) an Augusta, Ga., attorney today after a series of indiscretions that prompted disciplinary actions by the state bar and the federal court—including accepting $9,000 from a woman to file a discrimination case against her federal employer which a federal judge deemed “the most frivolous and least warranted suit” he had ever seen.

After taking the money, Samuel Cruse reportedly changed office locations without informing her, then failed to give her a copy of the summary judgment order until after the deadline for appealing it had passed.

Cruse, who was disbarred from practicing in federal court in February 2007, also failed to return $4,000 to a client in another case despite repeated state and federal court orders to do so, the Augusta Chronicle reports.
