A longtime Indiana lawyer who allegedly admitted to police that he drank “about a pint” of vodka within hours of a Monday court hearing is now dealing with a double whammy.

In addition to criminal charges in including operating a vehicle while intoxicated, Joseph Robertson II is also facing a contempt case, reports Fox 59. It appears from the article that the OWI case is being pursued in Seymour County, where Robertson lives, while the contempt case is in Shelby County, where his Monday court hearing was scheduled.

Witnesses against Robertson include a woman who says he nearly ran her off the road while driving to court on Monday.

The Shelbyville News also has a story. None of the articles includes any comment from Robertson or his defense counsel.

A former prosecutor in Morgan County, he has been an Indiana lawyer since 1981.
