A judge on Monday imposed a 90-day jail term on a suspended Nevada lawyer who played a role in filing phony certificates of completion for court-ordered counseling and community service in 91 cases.

In fact, as Brian Bloomfield now admits, the counseling and community service was never performed.

After a 2013 felony plea, Bloomfield cooperated with the government and is only now being sentenced, the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.

The government had sought a hefty prison term for the 40-year-old, arguing that his crime had a significant impact on the Las Vegas legal system.

However, Judge Jessie Walsh appeared swayed by Bloomfield’s lengthy in-court apology, the newspaper reports.

“I’ve lost everything in my life, your honor, and I am humbled,” Bloomfield said at one point. “I pray very hard on this knowing I’m going to have to meet my maker.”

Walsh sentenced Bloomfield to a 19- to 48-month prison term, but apparently suspended all but the 90 day in the Clark County Detention Center and also imposed five years of probation.
