A Maryland lawyer has filed a $200,000 sex bias suit against a nail salon, claiming the establishment charged him $4 more for a manicure and pedicure than his date.

Larry Jimmy Bell claims gender discrimination in the suit against a Landover nail salon, the Washington Post reports in its Reliable Source column. Bell tells the newspaper he and a lady friend stopped at the salon for some pampering before dinner, but he was so upset when he learned of the differing charges that he was unable to go out to eat.

According to the Post, the salon “may have messed with the wrong well-groomed guy.” Bell has represented a comedian and a Top Chef contestant in suits against local businesses, and he once sued Domino’s Pizza, claiming it improperly refused to deliver to certain neighborhoods.

The suit (PDF) claims Bell’s plight “mirrors the case of Rosa Parks” in that she paid the same price for unequal treatment, the Courthouse News Service reports.
