Lawyer Who Took Plea in Las Vegas HOA Case Found Beaten, Is Hospitalized in Undisclosed Facility
A Nevada lawyer who recently took a plea in an ongoing federal case focused on Las Vegas homeowner associations and litigation over construction work was found badly beaten today and has been hospitalized in an undisclosed facility in Henderson.
David Amesbury, 57, is expected to recover, reports the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
“At this time, there is no evidence that this was in any way, shape or form related to the homeowners association investigation,” Joseph Dickey, a spokesman for the Federal Bureau of Investigation, told the newspaper.
“However, if we do develop evidence that Mr. Amesbury was targeted because of his involvement as a federal witness, we will seek to charge the perpetrators to the maximum extent of the federal law.”
