Lawyer wins reinstatement after suspension for taking upskirt photos
A Pennsylvania lawyer has been reinstated to law practice after a six-month suspension for taking upskirt videos of two females at a Montgomery County store.
Clayton Boulware was reinstated by an April 24 order by the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, the Legal Intelligencer reports. The suspension stems from Boulware’s guilty plea in May 2011 to privacy invasion charges for videotaping up the skirts of a 16-year-old girl and another woman. According to prior coverage, he wore size 15 shoes and used a camera attached to his shoe.
Boulware’s reinstatement is subject to a three-year probationary period.
Boulware’s psychiatrist had said the lawyer did not have a sexual disorder, according to the Legal Intelligencer article. Boulware’s actions, the psychiatrist said, were caused by his anxiety after losing his job and his house and ending his relationship with a girlfriend.
According to the disciplinary board report, Boulware had a “swinging lifestyle” with the girlfriend and they had filmed their sexual encounters. Boulware said his upskirt tapes were an effort to “somehow stay connected” to the type of relationship he had with the girlfriend.
