Steve Stodghill practices in Dallas as a litigation partner at Fish & Richardson. But a recent movie offer gave him a chance to demonstrate his corporate deal-making skills, too.

The offer was to use his “cribtastic” office at the downtown Comerica Bank Tower in Karma Police, a movie that premiered last month at the AFI Dallas International Film Festival. But Stodghill told the producers that if they wanted his office, they’d have to take him, too, Texas Lawyer reported in an article reprinted in New York Lawyer (reg. req.).

Stodghill’s negotiating skills landing him a minor speaking part as an office worker. “I wouldn’t call it a star turn, but it was fun to do,” he says.
