'Lawyers in Love' Could Be White House Theme Song
The Obamas aren’t the only lawyers in love at the White House.
Cass Sunstein, a former University of Chicago law professor, met his wife Samantha Power while the two were working on Obama’s presidential campaign. Now Sunstein is charged with managing government regulations while Power is a senior official at the National Security Council, the New York Times reports. They had their first child in April.
Another Obama staffer, interim communications director Anita Dunn, is married to the Obamas’ personal lawyer, Bob Bauer of Perkins Coie, who is also the Democratic Party’s lawyer, according to Politico.
The Time quotes a Sunstein magazine interview in which he said, ”You know what they say: Obama brings people together.”
