Young lawyers who love their work practice in a variety of areas.

But one thing many have in common is that they wanted to be attorneys from a young age, according to the London Times.

“I always wanted to be a lawyer. I was always thinking about it and looking for a way to work with people rather than be involved in dry, academic law,” solicitor Lucie Alhadeff, 33, who has already been involved in several landmark big-money divorce cases, tells the British newspaper. “Family law has given me this—it’s so much about people that it’s incredibly rewarding.”

Solicitor Philippa Robbins, 28, has wanted to become a lawyer since she was 11, when she saw her sister break her leg on an icy road—and then saw the family’s case against a local government agency lag due to apparent disinterest by the solicitors hired to pursue it.

“I wanted to help people. It took me a long time to get a training contract but I never gave up,” she says. “Now that I’m here, I love my job. I got there in the end and I’m very happy with where I’ve landed.”
