The University of Connecticut's law library is only 11 years old, but trustees say it has an unstable granite façade, chronic leaks, a rusty frame, and moldy walls and carpets.
The cost of repairs is expected to be $19 million, almost as much as the $24 million original cost of the building, the Hartford Courant reports. The university is seeking repair money from the original contractors.
