LeClairRyan has merged with a firm of 14 lawyers that represents insurance companies in workers’ compensation disputes.
LeClairRyan announced the merger with Pizzo & Haman on Tuesday, reports the Am Law Daily (sub. req.). A press release is here.
Pizzo & Haman has experience in managing, designing and implementing national counsel programs for insurance carriers and administrators that process insurance claims, according to the release. A specialty of the firm includes supervision of high-volume workers’ compensation claims.
Christopher Lange, corporate and securities shareholder with LeClairRyan, told the Am Law Daily that Pizzo & Haman handles an area of work that his firm had not pursued.
They “built a better mousetrap,” Lange said.
