Legal sector adds 2,000 jobs in January

The legal services sector added 2,000 jobs in January, according to figures released today by the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

The sector has added 7,000 jobs since January 2013, the Wall Street Journal Law Blog reports. The number of legal jobs is now at its highest level since 2009.

The number of legal jobs stood at 1,137,200 last month. The sector had a small loss of 400 jobs in December, according to the seasonally adjusted numbers.
