Legal Sector Lost 300 Jobs Last Month
The legal sector lost 300 jobs last month, halting a three-month trend of job growth.
The October losses followed a more promising September, when the legal sector gained 2,200 jobs, according to the Am Law Daily. The total number of jobs in the legal sector stands at just over 1.1 million, the same number recorded at this same time last year.
The legal sector numbers for October aren’t in keeping with the upbeat overall numbers reported by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. Overall, the economy added 151,000 jobs.
