An angry judge in Beverly Hills ordered Lindsay Lohan on Monday to wear an alcohol monitoring bracelet after the actress claimed she couldn’t leave the Cannes Film Festival because of a stolen passport.

Photos from the French festival showed Lohan partying on a yacht on the day of her scheduled court appearance, the Associated Press reports. AP says Lohan “appeared somber and concerned when she conferred with her attorney about the move to attach the bracelet and require drug and alcohol testing every week.”

In a separate story, the Associated Press says concerned parents can’t get an alcohol bracelet for their own kids because the devices are sold only to courts, probation officers and others who want to keep drunken drivers off the road. The device, made by a Denver company called Alcohol Monitoring Systems Inc., measures alcohol in skin perspiration. It is called SCRAM, for Secure Continuous Remote Alcohol Monitoring, and costs about $1,500.
