Two U.S. law firms saw strong financial numbers in their London offices last year.

White & Case increased revenues by 37 percent to earn $235.7 million, the American Lawyer reports. Profits per partner were about $1.53 million. London senior partner Peter Finlay told the legal publication the good results part of a growth trend that began in 2003.

At Weil, Gotshal & Manges, profits per partner skyrocketed to $2.69 million, up from $1.38 million. Its revenues there were $112.7 million. Weil Gotshal’s London head, Michael Francies, told American Lawyer that the office’s success was partly because of lateral hires, including the acquisition of a new team of private equity specialists.
