Longhorns Star Charged in Alleged Fight With Texas Law Student

A pick-up basketball game at the University of Texas led to a misdemeanor assault charge against a star Longhorns freshman safety after he allegedly fought with a law student at the school's Gregory Gymnasium last month, leaving the fledgling legal eagle with a bloody lip.

An arrest affidavit says the Texas law student, Jonathan Fuhrman, told police that Kenny Vaccaro and his friends were throwing basketballs at him, according to the Austin American-Statesman and ESPN.

After Fuhrman then threw a basketball at Vaccaro, hitting him in the head, Vaccaro punched him in the face, Fuhrman says.

Vaccaro told police Fuhrman was "always on the court trying to start a fight," the affidavit states.

Hat tip: Above the Law.

It’s astonishing that with all Scalia’s years on the bench focusing on Constitutional issues that he still just doesn’t get it when it comes to the separation of church and state.  Isn’t he required to take CLE?
