A resident of a Florida apartment complex was charged with battery and briefly jailed this week after police said he blew a raspberry at a tenant manager during an angry dispute over an unknown issue.

Dominick L. Verducci was booked into the Alachua County jail Wednesday and released on his own recognizance Thursday, the Gainesville Sun reports.

A Gainesville police officer said the incident was a battery, which is defined as touching or striking another person, because Verducci’s spit hit the face of Thomas Stommel, a property manager at the Sunrise Villas Apartments.

The newspaper article doesn’t include any comment from Verducci.
