A man who listed a West Texas trial and criminal defense law firm as his home address was charged with murder after a body was found there early Wednesday.

When police responding to a disturbance call arrived at the Lubbock offices of Shackelford, Hawkins & Searcy around 2:30 a.m., they found the body of an unidentified man on the floor. Originally taken in for questioning in what is described as a roommate situation, Jestin Wayne Hooker, 27, is now charged with murder.

The Associated Press, KCBD and KWTX have stories.

None of the articles includes any comment from the law firm and a man who answered the telephone at the firm’s Lubbock offices declined to comment when called by the ABA Journal.
