Mel Gibson’s ex-girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva appeared in court Monday morning with a new lawyer, although it is unclear whether Mitchell Jacobs of Los Angeles—the 40th attorney retained by Grigorieva—will stay on her child-custody case full time.

TMZ reported this development and earlier posted a list of the 39 other lawyers working on Grigorieva’s behalf who have so far submitted more than $1 million in legal bills.

But one lawyer told TMZ today that she has submitted no legal bills: Lisa Bloom told TMZ today that she decided to work for Grigorieva pro bono for the duration of the case “because she felt it was important to support a (alleged) domestic abuse victim.”
