A law firm that acquired intellectual property lawyers through a merger is apparently expanding its footprint and IP practice through a new acquisition.

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton is opening a Los Angeles office through the acquisition of an intellectual property boutique, Reuters reports. John Pratt, head of the firm’s IP practice, refused to reveal the acquired firm in an interview with the wire service. But Kilpatrick Townsend’s website offers a clue.

The site lists a Los Angeles office with contact information for eight-lawyer IP boutique Keats, McFarland & Wilson, the story says.

Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton is the product of a merger between Kilpatrick Stockton and Townsend and Townsend and Crew.
