Donald Trump’s running mate, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, has made no secret of the fact that he didn’t like law school, telling one interviewer that he wouldn’t wish it “on a dog I didn’t like.”

But he managed to see humor in the unhappy situation, the Washington Post reports. Pence created a comic called “Law School Daze” for the student newspaper at Indiana University’s Robert H. McKinney School of Law. The article and a Twitter post include some of Pence’s comic strips.

One comic touts the new issue of “Torts Illustrated.” Another features a 3L asked to provide advice to a first-year student: “Get here before 10:00 or you won’t park in this county,” the 3L says.

Another former law student who turned to comic strips is Stephan Pastis, who created the Pearls Before Swine comic strip. The Post asked Pastis for his take on Pence’s comics.

“I’d tell him to stick to his day job,” said Pastis, a former University of California, Los Angeles law student, “but I don’t like how he does that, either.”
