A Milwaukee-based law firm has upped the ante in Chicago, adding to its existing small office there a local litigation boutique.

The melding of Chicago’s Varga Berger Ledsky Hayes & Casey with Whyte Hirschboeck Dudek puts nearly 150 attorneys on the combined firm’s roster, according to Whyte Hirschboeck’s website.

“WHD is excited to welcome this highly skilled and respected team of lawyers to our firm,” said chief executive Paul Eberle in a press release. “As our presence in the Chicago market grows, this addition will greatly expand and enhance several practice areas as part of the firm’s growth plan and its continued commitment to meet the needs of our growing business client base in the Midwest.”
