Updated: The Cook County Jail in Chicago mistakenly released an Indiana man who was in court last week to appear on local armed violence and drug charges.

Instead of returning to jail after those charges were dismissed on Wednesday, Steven Robbins was released.

Robbins was supposed to be in an Indiana jail serving a 60-year sentence for the 2002 killing of a Kentucky man. The Chicago Tribune reports that there was no mention in jail paperwork that Robbins was supposed to remain in custody.

Robbins was recaptured late Friday night without incident at a friend’s house in Kankakee, Ill., according to the Chicago Tribune.

Updated at 9:36 a.m. to note Robbins’ recapture.
