Two more California-based law firms have announced they will pay new associates $160,000 a year, matching New York salaries.

O’Melveny & Myers and Morrison & Foerster will raise starting pay effective May 1, according to the Recorder. They will pay the same amount to attorneys at all their offices, including those outside the state.

They are joining Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe, which announced its raise will be effective June 1 for California lawyers only.
