A suburban Chicago motorcyclist who allegedly taunted police by popping wheelies to draw attention to his daredevil driving and posted video shot from a camera on his helmet on YouTube to prove it is facing felony driving charges.

Justin C. Jachimiec, 22, is accused of posting Orland Ghost Rider vs Police to document a Nov. 19 incident in which the driver apparently drove past a police officer ticketing another motorist, caught his attention with the wheelie and subsequently eluded police efforts to pull him over. A similar incident occurred March 13, Orland Park police said, in which a motorcyclist accelerated past a police officer while riding on one wheel, reports the Chicago Tribune.

Although Orland Park police didn’t pursue the driver at that time, due to safety concerns, they executed a search warrant at a home on March 14 to obtain evidence against Jachimiec, who allegedly recorded both incidents on camera. The article doesn’t explain why detectives targeted the residence.

Jachimiec faces traffic charges including felony possession of a stolen motorcycle and felony fleeing and eluding police.

The Trib article links to what it says is a video of the Nov. 19 incident.
