A North Dakota woman has been charged with child neglect for allegedly breast-feeding her six-week-old infant while drunk.

However, a prosecutor says the claimed incident, in which Stacey Anvarinia is accused of breast-feeding her baby directly in front of police while heavily intoxicated, is not the only factor in the case against the 27-year-old Grand Forks woman, reports FOX News.

Since no blood test was taken, the charge may be difficult to prove, says her lawyer, David Ogren. Anvarinia has pleaded not guilty.

Police reportedly were originally called to the woman’s home on Feb. 13 for a domestic disturbance. Links to a police incident report and a felony information filed against Anvarinia are provided by the Smoking Gun.
